Dildo Review: Tantus Curve

tantuscurve

Curve is the latest beautiful toy from the wonderful toy maker Tantus. Why are they wonderful, you ask? Well, not only were they a generous sponsor of my Birthday Giveaway but they make products which are both gorgeous and functional and always use 100% medical-grade silicone, one of the safest materials for sex toys to be made of.

I don’t think I’ve met a Tantus product I haven’t liked, though I’m more than willing to test that theory and try every toy they make. You know, for the sake of science.

When I first saw Curve I was actually a little iffy on it, it’s not as sleek and smooth looking as many of the other Tantus products, I thought the curve of it actually looked kind of awkward and wasn’t appealing to me until I felt it inside of me.

My opinion of it changed vastly once I felt that curve hitting against my g-spot just about perfectly with just a slight amount of lube to make it slide in just right. Tantus silicone is always silky smooth and only needs a little bit of lube to work perfectly, just remember to never use silicone lube with a silicone toy as a chemical reaction can occur and ruin the toy.

One side of Curve has a slight ripple molded into it as you can see in the image above. It isn’t as noticeable while inserted as more pronounced bumps and ridges usually are but it definitely adds to the general feeling of the toy. Curve doesn’t need extreme texture to bring extreme pleasure as the shape of it takes care of that on it’s own.

The other new and improved feature of Curve is the base. Instead of the usual circular shape Curve has a teardrop-shaped base that is also thicker than regular Tantus bases. According to Tantus this is the first of many new toys with this larger base.

The new base is excellent for harnesses with any size o-ring and the teardrop shape is extremely comfortable. Both my girlfriend and I agree Curve is now our favorite strap-on dildo to date, and coming from two sex toy reviewers that’s saying something!

A big huge thanks to Tantus for sending me Curve to review!

BDSM Toy Review: Twisted Love Ties

twistedloveties

When I first received the Twisted Love Ties from Sportsheets I was a little wary of them. The first thought I had about them was that they remind me of large bread ties, Marla had the same reaction. I could already see the convenient use of them as a fast light bondage item which would be rather versatile, so I was also excited to try them.

The Twisted Love Ties easily slip around wrists or ankles, and can be wound around multiple times or crossed over themselves, attached to themselves or to other objects, all sorts of combinations. They basically feel like foam wrapped around a bendable spine with a fabric cover.

They seemed overly stiff at first and while they were somewhat easy to mold they just didn’t seem like they would be that comfortable. I experimented with them right away and wasn’t too impressed so didn’t end up actually using them during play until quite some time later.

Every time I used the ties by themselves they were rather uncomfortable. Although they bend rather easily by hand they are not easily bent when already around a wrist or ankle, which made it difficult to have them on for long periods of time as moving the limbs around at all wasn’t easy. Although the idea of bondage is to restrain movement the bottom generally tends to squirm and wiggle within the bonds, the ties were too difficult to put perfectly around to restrict movement within the ties and were too uncomfortable to use on their own.

Where the Twisted Love Ties really shine, however, is when coupled with a hard object, specifically I used them with a spreader bar. I think they work so well combined with a hard object because the hardness of the spreader bar makes the slight stiffness of the ties feel soft in comparison. They slipped easily through the loops on the end of both spreader bars I tried them with, and were great for using the spreader bar on knees specifically as well as ankles.

While I wasn’t impressed with the ties by themselves I know I will be using them over and over again with my spreader bars. All three of us are impressed at how well they work.

Much thanks to Sportsheets for letting me review their Twisted Love Ties!

BDSM Toy Review: Siren Red 36-inch Spreader Bar

I have been fascinated with spreader bars for quite some time and even had the luck to review one a couple of months ago and ever since I’ve been wanting to try more. Just as not all sex toys are created equal not all BDSM products are created equal so I love to try as many variations of similar products as possible when I like the design or idea of a toy.

The idea of being bound to a spreader bar, being helpless and unable to close my legs or keep my cunt and ass from being teased and played with (or doing the same to someone else) is highly appealing and arousing. Because I’m a larger woman with quite a bit of thigh on me, however, it was somewhat easy to keep my thighs together and not be as exposed when using the other spreader bar, and the same thing happened with this one when used around my ankles. I’ve heard this complaint from a number of people, and I have a solution to it below.

We tried it first with the Axovus ankle cuffs connected to either side of the bar which was definitely sexy and made it difficult to move around too much but wasn’t as exposing or immobilizing as I had always imagined a spreader bar would be. Because of the way the cuffs attached to the spreader bar, with carabiner snap hooks, I could close my feet together closer than the 36 inches the bar itself is. Don’t get me wrong, it was definitely hot, but it lacked something as I could move my ankles around much more than I wanted to be able to.

After watching the porn movie Champion I was struck with a brilliant idea due to something that happened during my favorite scene: a cane was used as a spreader bar tied not around the ankles but around the knees. This looked sexy and sounded like a brilliant idea that I knew I had to try!

Neither of us are particularly skilled with rope so the next time we used the spreader bar we also used an item I had recently received from Sportsheets, the Twisted Love Ties. They are sort of like giant twist-ties that hold together surprisingly well and slipped easily through the loop on the end of the spreader bar.

We wound the Twisted Ties right above each of my knees on either end of the spreader bar and that worked much better than using the spreader bar on my ankles, it forced me to keep my knees spread wide so all of my nether regions were on display and it was an easy bar to hold on to while fucking me. It was pretty delightful, and definitely my favorite use of a spreader bar thus far. I know that we are going to use it and the other spreader bar I have over and over.

The only negative about the bar is that when using it on my knees the 36 inch length was actually a little long, it forced my hips a little too widely apart to the point of discomfort after about ten or fifteen minutes. Because of this I’m interested in trying the 24 inch spreader bar from the same company as I think that would be a little more comfortable.

You can find the 36 inch Spreader Bar in Siren Red, Baby Pink and Candy Purple or the 24 inch in Siren Red, Baby Pink and Candy Purple, along with other Bondage and BDSM products and sex toys of every flavor on SexToy.Com.

Review: Liberator Fascinator Throe – Microfiber

If you’ve ever had to sleep in the wet spot you already know the usefulness of having something like the Fascinator Throe.

The Throe is designed to be put down to catch any juices, lube, cream, food, wax, or anything else that you wouldn’t want getting on your sheets and creating a mess. It fits easily over a good portion of any bed (or the entirety of our futon) and can easily be pushed aside to get rid of the wet spot effectively turning a potentially uncomfortable afterglow into a very pleasant one.

Liberator has two different types of fabric the Throe can come in, microfiber or shag, and since I wanted the leopard print Throe as I adore leopard print I got the microfiber one. The other side of the throe is black satin, and between the two layers there is a third layer of nylon which serves as a moisture barrier between the two softer and luxurious fabrics.

While the fabric of the throe doesn’t soak up whatever liquids get on it the nylon barrier does not let any of the fluids get through to the bed, couch, floor, or other surface below. It really does work and keep the surface below it dry regardless of what gets on it, it’s lasted through quite a few vigorous fuck sessions with one to three participants.

The only downfall of the Throe is that it has a tendency to move around and can move out of the wet spot danger zone easily during a great fucking session if you’re not paying attention to it. While it’s more tempting to lay on the soft microfiber side of the Throe because it’s so soft and smooth it is much better to have the satin side up and microfiber down.

With the microfiber down it is much less likely to move around that way, especially if you have satin sheets like we do, though it does still move around a little. We often have to move it around mid-coitus to make sure it will catch the right stuff, but the momentary shifting of the Throe doesn’t really take anything away from the experience, especially to people who have four cats and are used to being interrupted.

The microfiber is the same material that is on Liberator’s shapes including the Ramp and so putting it microfiber to microfiber down underneath the Ramp offers a little more protection and means the Ramp won’t slide around either (though it rarely does).

The biggest issue for us has been simply remembering to put it down beforehand and/or during, so the Throe has become a permanent part of our bed, but even so there has been many a time when the Throe just didn’t get in the right spot.

Thank you so very very much to Liberator for allowing me to review the Fascinator Throe!

Jack-Off Toy Review: Tenga Squeeze Play

TengaSP

Hi there folks, guest reviewer Onyx back to review the Tenga Squeeze Play courtesy of Babeland.

I will start off by admitting that I am far from an expert on jack off toys or male masturbators. This toy is only the second one I have ever used and so my basis for comparison might seem slim at best. That being said I’m all about new experiences and was very excited when Scarlet mentioned we’d be getting one to try out.

To get some technical info out of the way: The Tenga Squeeze Play is made to be a pre-lubricated one-time disposable toy. If you plan on using it more than once you will need to use a condom since you will not be able to properly clean and sanitize the semi-porous TPE insert itself if you go bareback.

The outer design of the Squeeze Play is very discreet and almost reminds me of a somewhat large lotion bottle. It seems designed as something you can easily pack in your luggage without worrying others might see it and immediately realizing what it is, unless they’re fellow Tenga enthusiasts of course.

The Tenga Squeeze Play differs from many other Tenga products in that the outer shell is made of fairly soft and pliable ABS plastic which allows you to squeeze it to adjust the tightness of the sleeve so to speak. More importantly squeezing it allows air to be pushed out of the tiny hole at the top of the toy which you can then cover with a thumb or finger while releasing the squeeze to create a truly amazing suction effect. This vacuum suction creates what can only be described as an exquisitely pleasurable sensation that has to be experienced to be believed.

But as pleasurable as I found the suction effect, it is only one of the many sensation-inducing features of the Tenga Squeeze Play. The inner sleeve has been designed by what I can only assume to be some of the finest minds of pleasure engineering. A delightful combination of ridges, nubs and pre-applied lubrication all combine to make this an experience your cock is not likely to forget.

TengaSPinside

I would caution anyone using this toy for the first time to go slow and really take the time to experience all the different sensations that can be experienced by changing things such as suction level, tightness of grip, pumping, rotating and otherwise manipulate the toy for maximum pleasure. The geek in me just loves the diagram above showing all the wonderful design features the Squeeze Play offers.

My only regret with this toy is its disposable nature. It’s definitely a product I want to try out again and again and I would love to get the similar Tenga product designed to be reusable. Part of me just feels bad about disposing of such a pleasure-inducing product and while each toy is relatively inexpensive, stocking up on them so you always have one ready for that special self-love occasion could get costly pretty quick. So while I definitely recommend this wonderful toy and urge all you guys to go try one, I hope the keen engineers at Tenga take this to the next level and design a version that can be used over and over again.

Thank you so much Babeland for giving me the chance to get to know the delightful Tenga Squeeze Play.

PS: For those of you concerned about the environmental impact of such disposable toys, please note that Tenga products are made from all recycled plastics, which should hopefully alleviate some of your concerns.

Dildo Review: Belladonna’s Magic Hand

belladonna's magic hand

We agreed to receive Belladonna’s Extreme Pussy and Ass for Onyx to review and got an extra Belladonna surprise, Belladonna’s Magic Hand, you may have noticed it on the bookshelf behind me in many of my latest video reviews. Now, Belladonna’s pretty awesome and I’ve been a fan of hers for quite some time, but putting a replica of her hand inside myself has never really been on my list of things “to do.”

I knew I was going to put her inside me, however, as I wouldn’t review something without actually using it first. Belladonna’s Magic Hand is made out of Sili-gel, as mentioned above, which is semi-porous and because of that it can never be completely sterilized. The hand has a funky smell to it, almost a chemical fruit smell, though mostly just rubbery.

To use her hand safely I stretched a regular condom over her fingers and down her wrist which was snug but surprisingly easy to do. Using a condom keeps the hand from picking up or transferring any bacteria to your naughty bits and also means you can share the hand if you want to.

I’ll be honest, I was extremely apprehensive about putting this thing inside of me. I knew because I was using a condom it was safe as far as the material was concerned but the idea of sticking someone’s disembodied hand up my cunt (that also kind of reminds me of Thing from The Addams Family) was not appealing. At all. However, I was also extremely curious and knew I would have to try it eventually.

We got me warmed up before pressing the rather long fingers inside of me, and actually got her up to the knuckles, which was actually a very nice stretch. It’s huge, obviously, as it’s a replica of a hand, which was great for an aspiring size queen such as myself but would definitely be too big for most and is something that needs a lot of warm up before-hand (pun intended).

When turned sideways her hand hit something and hurt, but up or upside down she was okay, though her fingers were too long to get her inside me past her knuckles.

Personally, the reason I enjoy fisting is because it stretches me open and also because it hits the g-spot. While Belladonna’s hand definitely stretched me nicely there was no g-spot contact whatsoever, which was highly disappointing. Stretching only goes so far for me and neither Onyx or myself are anywhere near being able to take this toy in our backdoors which may be a completely different and possibly better experience.

The creep factor was just a little too high for me on this toy, and that coupled with the fingers being too long–though I know it’s a replica of an actual hand so that’s not really able to be changed, but they could have been curled up a bit to give some nice g-spot stimulation–just means that while I’m definitely going to be displaying this toy for amusement purposes I can pretty much guarantee I will never use it again. It wasn’t horrible, but just not good either.

Much thanks to Tabu Toys sex toys for letting me review Belladonna’s Magic Hand!

Vibrator Review: Acuvibe Mini

This is actually my third massager-type vibrator after the “Cadillac of Vibrators” Hitachi and the Miracle Massager. All three are very similar to each other but with striking differences as well.

The Hitachi is the most well-known of the bunch so most of my comparison is going to be to it. It’s large, loud, and exceptionally powerful and pretty much the comparison-vibe for all massager-type vibrators. The Acuvibe Mini is much smaller in comparison (hello, it’s called ‘mini’ for a reason) and instead of plugging into the wall it is rechargeable which is handy for portability and absolutely awesome. It would be easy to stash in a purse or backpack and whip it out at a moment’s notice.

The small size of the Mini also makes it easier to store in general as well, since you don’t have to worry about a huge bulky massager taking up space, and you don’t have to worry about the cord getting crazy tangled or getting worn down right where it attaches to the massager, as cords often do. It also is much more comfortable to grip than the massive Hitachi without compromising too much on the strength.

While I don’t have the Acuvibe to compare the Mini or Hitachi too from what I read the Acuvibe Mini is comparable in strength to the low speed on the Acuvibe and I would compare it to the low speed on the Hitachi as well, so it’s got quite a bit of punch to it! Personally I rarely if ever use the high speed on the Hitachi so the Mini is just the right speed for me, but if you need the Hitachi on high it’s definitely not that powerful.

The biggest difference between the Hitachi and Acuvibe Mini aside from the size, and what I love the most, is it’s rechargeable rather than plugged in so it has massive portability and is just generally less of a hassle. I love my Hitachi, but I’ve never been a fan of the cord as my outlet or power strip is always just slightly too far away from me to really be comfortable so I end up using the Hitachi on rare occasion when I feel like getting off quickly.

Come to think of it I actually had my Hitachi plugged in pretty close to the bed for a while before we moved, but ended up not using it very often then either because the cord would always get tangled with other things.

The Acuvibe Mini, however, is so easy to use and charge it’s ridiculous. You can see the charging port in the image above, and the second image is the light at the bottom turned blue due to it charging. The light doesn’t blink or do anything to indicate when it’s done charging, which I wish it did, though admittedly I’m spoiled by my LELO toys. The manual instructs to charge the Acuvibe Mini for a full eight hours before first use.

Unlike the Acuvibe and the Hitachi the mini has a slight curve to it’s head, which I thought was wonderful for clitoral stimulation and makes me think the makers realize what it’s going to be used for. What I especially love about massager-type vibrators in general is they are able to be used with quite a bit of pressure, which is the sensation that gets me off the quickest. Pressure plus strong vibration? Yes, please!

While the Acuvibe Mini has definitely made me curious to try the Acuvibe I really can’t imagine that I will be more in love with it than the Acuvibe Mini. The strong vibration coupled with the petite size is just perfect!

Much thanks to Babeland for sending me the Acuvibe Mini to review!

Fun Factory Week – Vibrator Review: Angelo

Fun Factory Week concludes with a cute mini-vibe!

Did you see the rest of Fun Factory Week with the Boss (Lady), Cuffies Freestyle, Smartballs, and Bloomy reviews?

angelo

Angelo is a slightly different kind of vibe than the Boss Lady as he is part of Fun Factory’s miniVibes collection. He’s, well, smaller obviously, and as he takes two AAA batteries rather than four he is less intense as well.

The shape is pleasing to the eye and I love the rippley designs on the shaft and head. While this vibrator was very good and did it’s job to get me off there was just no “wow” factor to it for me. That may be because I’m a bit of a toy snob by now, and while there was nothing wrong with Angelo per se I just wasn’t all that impressed with him.

The idea behind the miniVibes is that they are small enough to carry around with you and fit in a purse or backpack easier than larger, bulkier vibes. This is definitely true, it’s small and compact, rather adorable. It’s also meant to be versatile, with the curve at the end of Angelo being made for both clitoral and g-spot stimulation.

I especially enjoyed Angelo for clitoral stimulation, not with the tip of the curve but with the outer curve itself. I fit the flat back of the curving tip against my clit and was able to use a good amount of pressure, which was very nice and not something all vibrators can do. If you like a lot of pressure Angelo is great for that reason alone.

However, g-spot stimulation was kind of a bust. Angelo just wasn’t really long enough or the right shape or size to get my g-spot where I needed it. Few toys can get me off on g-spot stimulation alone but Angelo not only couldn’t do that but had a difficult time finding my g-spot even with the assist of my knowledgeable hands. Luckily I’m not all to into internal vibration anyway, preferring to keep my vibrators external and my dildos internal, but that could definitely be difficult for some. However, others also may not find it as difficult to find the g-spot with Angelo as I did, so that’s something to keep in mind as well.

Overall Angelo is a decent vibe and great as far as portability. A lot of smaller vibes would either be more expensive or not as well made, which is definitely a plus.

Fun Factory Week – Anal Toy Review: Bloomy

Fun Factory Week continues with an adorable anal toy!

Did you see the beginning of Fun Factory Week with the Boss (Lady), Cuffies Freestyle, and Smartballs reviews?

bloomy

The first moment I laid eyes on Bloomy I was in love. The picture just does not do it justice. It’s gorgeous and unique, qualities I look for in new toys, and qualities which Fun Factory constantly delivers. Since my toy collection is quite vast and grows larger by the week the more unique and unusual looking a toy is the more I’m interested in it. Couple that with high-quality silicone and a gorgeous design and I get even more excited!

Bloomy is shaped similar to some prostate massagers, as it has a curved base and then a stem sticking out which could easily massage the perineum while inserted anally or the clit (depending on where your clit is) when inserted vaginally or anally. The two different shafts of it are basically one strip of silicone looped around itself, crating a very nice finger hold which makes the toy very easy to thrust with and easy to maneuver in general.

While both shafts could technically be inserted I have only played with the larger more bulbous shaft, but we have tried it anally on Onyx and after washing it in the dishwasher to sterilize it I used it on myself vaginally. The sensations were wonderful, the stylized dimples in the shaft definitely create a very unique sensation which adds to the pleasure the toy elicits. I could feel the bumps with every thrust inside myself and found that the stem of Bloomy hit my clit with each thrust as well.

For some reason I imagined the stem of Bloomy to be more circular than it is, but instead it is more rectangular and flat, which makes it fit nicely against those sensitive nether bits either curving up toward the clit or up against the perineum. The stem, aside from adding aesthetic pleasure, definitely makes Bloomy stand a little above most other dildo/plugs.

Obviously Bloomy can be used vaginally and anally, as I’ve mentioned that several times, but if you are wanting to use him both places be sure to sterilize him before going from anus to vagina. Vagina to anus is not a problem, but going the other way can bring bacteria to the wrong area and create issues. Bloomy can be completely sterilized by boiling for 10 minutes, washing in the top shelf of the dishwasher with no soap, or wiping down with a 10% bleach solution. To clean I recommend an anti-bacterial toy cleaner or an anti-bacterial soap especially if using anally.

Even though I fell in love initially with the shape and beauty of Bloomy the functionality and pleasure made me fall in love all over again.

Fun Factory Week – Review: Smartballs

Fun Factory Week continues with these well-known kegel exercisers!

Did you see the start of Fun Factory Week with the Boss (Lady) and Cuffies Freestyle reviews?

smartballs

I’ve been interested in Smartballs for quite some time. Smartballs, as you can see above, are basically two round balls connected to each other with a cord attached that is vaguely reminiscent of a tampon string. I’m not sure what the string is made of, as in the information pamphlet it simply says that the string is made to be impermeable so that bacteria can’t get in it, but the material itself is slightly tacky to the touch which is not very pleasant. The tackyness does, however, make it easy to get a grip on the string to pull it out.

The balls themselves have weighted balls inside of them which jiggle around with the slightest of movements. In addition to simply having something inserted that needs to be held inside while using them, the weights add a little more oomph to the toy both in terms of sensation and effectiveness. The weighted balls cause the Smartballs to vibrate slightly inside which causes the pelvic floor muscles to contract around them thus working out the kegel muscles.

Smartballs are made of elastomed which is supposedly a non-porous mixture of Elastomer and Silicone both of which are phthalate-free but the former of which is porous. This is a material used only by Fun Factory (as far as I can tell) and patented by Fun Factory which is supposedly body-safe but I’d still be a little wary at sharing the item even though it’s supposed to be non-porous.

Kegel exercisers are best used on a daily or semi-daily basis for faster results. Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles can improve urinary or bowel control and can also increase control over ejaculation. Specifically for females they increase tightness of the vagina, prevent pelvic prolapse, and can increase sexual arousal/desire. For males they can diminish premature ejaculation, encourage multiple orgasms (especially multiples without ejaculation), and result in a stronger erection.

Smartballs are also just generally arousing, though few people if any would be able to get off from them alone wearing them during masturbation with a vibrator, finger, or tongue on the clit is absolutely divine, and clenching around them during orgasm feels wonderful. They are also great to wear in conjunction with anal Kegel exercisers for added pleasure and a greater workout.

I found the Smartballs to be rather long, almost too long for my vagina when not already aroused, but trying to keep them inside without having them slip out is part of the fun (and definitely the point). They were highly comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time, but due to being just a little too long or my kegel muscles not being up to snuff they had a tendency to fall out, so if you are planning on wearing them outside of the house be sure you have bathrooms where you can adjust them as necessary.

You can find the Fun Factory Smartballs, along with other Pelvic Exercisers and sex toys of every flavor on SexToy.Com.
