Silicone
One of the safest toy materials out there (as long as it is 100% silicone) and can be used in so many different ways. It can be matte or smooth, hard or squishy, and conducts temperature well enough to pop it in the fridge to cool it down for a little sensation play. Silicone is hypoallergenic, phthalate-free, non-porous, and completely sterilizable.
Beware of toys with “silicone” in the name of it as often it will be a blend of silicone rather than 100% silicone. Also some companies will put 100% silicone on the packaging when only the outer layer is 100% silicone or other such nonsense. Some wonderful silicone toy producing companies are Tantus, Vixen Creations, Ophoria, Fun Factory, Nexus, and LELO.
