This is actually my third massager-type vibrator after the “Cadillac of Vibrators” Hitachi and the Miracle Massager. All three are very similar to each other but with striking differences as well.

The Hitachi is the most well-known of the bunch so most of my comparison is going to be to it. It’s large, loud, and exceptionally powerful and pretty much the comparison-vibe for all massager-type vibrators. The Acuvibe Mini is much smaller in comparison (hello, it’s called ‘mini’ for a reason) and instead of plugging into the wall it is rechargeable which is handy for portability and absolutely awesome. It would be easy to stash in a purse or backpack and whip it out at a moment’s notice.

The small size of the Mini also makes it easier to store in general as well, since you don’t have to worry about a huge bulky massager taking up space, and you don’t have to worry about the cord getting crazy tangled or getting worn down right where it attaches to the massager, as cords often do. It also is much more comfortable to grip than the massive Hitachi without compromising too much on the strength.

While I don’t have the Acuvibe to compare the Mini or Hitachi too from what I read the Acuvibe Mini is comparable in strength to the low speed on the Acuvibe and I would compare it to the low speed on the Hitachi as well, so it’s got quite a bit of punch to it! Personally I rarely if ever use the high speed on the Hitachi so the Mini is just the right speed for me, but if you need the Hitachi on high it’s definitely not that powerful.

The biggest difference between the Hitachi and Acuvibe Mini aside from the size, and what I love the most, is it’s rechargeable rather than plugged in so it has massive portability and is just generally less of a hassle. I love my Hitachi, but I’ve never been a fan of the cord as my outlet or power strip is always just slightly too far away from me to really be comfortable so I end up using the Hitachi on rare occasion when I feel like getting off quickly.

Come to think of it I actually had my Hitachi plugged in pretty close to the bed for a while before we moved, but ended up not using it very often then either because the cord would always get tangled with other things.

  

The Acuvibe Mini, however, is so easy to use and charge it’s ridiculous. You can see the charging port in the image above, and the second image is the light at the bottom turned blue due to it charging. The light doesn’t blink or do anything to indicate when it’s done charging, which I wish it did, though admittedly I’m spoiled by my LELO toys. The manual instructs to charge the Acuvibe Mini for a full eight hours before first use.

Unlike the Acuvibe and the Hitachi the mini has a slight curve to it’s head, which I thought was wonderful for clitoral stimulation and makes me think the makers realize what it’s going to be used for. What I especially love about massager-type vibrators in general is they are able to be used with quite a bit of pressure, which is the sensation that gets me off the quickest. Pressure plus strong vibration? Yes, please!

While the Acuvibe Mini has definitely made me curious to try the Acuvibe I really can’t imagine that I will be more in love with it than the Acuvibe Mini. The strong vibration coupled with the petite size is just perfect!

I haven’t been watching as much porn lately as I used to. Really I haven’t watched that much porn since Onyx and I got together, but I used to watch it a lot, and this is something I want to change. I’ve never been huge into storyline porn for getting off to, though. I always prefer to just watch fucking, and usually a small clip of fucking to just get myself off and then go about my business, so Champion was a definite departure for me in that aspect.

I have lusted over Pink & White productions since I first heard about them which is why Champion was my first pick of DVD to review from Early to Bed. I’ve heard wonderful things about Champion as well as Crash Pad and the Crash Pad Series among others.

Like all porn movies I’ve ever seen (years ago) the acting isn’t wonderful. While it’s also better than a lot of porn acting Champion still has it’s share of flatly delivered lines and wrong inflection of words. I was happy that every sex scene seemed to have a purpose to either further the plot or give some sort of believable reference to it.

I don’t care too much for the storyline, but part of that was just not being that into storylines in general, I didn’t expect much from it because it is porn first and foremost and it wasn’t horrible just not great either. The fucking, however, was delicious and delightful.

While the story itself is somewhat believable I lost interest in it pretty quickly once the fucking started anyway. And, oh, the fucking. The chemistry between couples was right on for what they were trying to do in each scene, giving an idea of the character or somehow referencing back to the plot. Every coupling had it’s own unique feeling to it which made sense for the scene and characters.

Scene-by-scene

The movie opens with Jessie (Syd Blakovich) fucking her (ex-)girlfriend Kathy (Jiz Lee) quite vigorously while what sounds like a phone rings. The phone sound is actually an alarm or possibly text message signaling Jessie to go train. Jessie leaves quite abruptly leaving a frustrated Kathy who takes matters into her own hands, as they say. As the credits roll the shots alternate between watching Jessie train and Kathy fucking herself, giving us a good juxtaposition between fighting and fucking which we will get a few more times throughout the movie. It’s only a couple of minutes before Kathy comes and the rest of the movie begins.

After some fighting and badgering of Jessie from her manager we get to the next sex scene which starts with a quick hot deep-throating blowjob. We watch as a presumably drunk Jessie fucks Girl #1 (Madison Young). Yes, that is seriously her name in the titles: Girl #1, though there’s no Girl #anything-else, but I shall call her Madison from now on.

We see Jessie being extremely toppy and basically using Madison to satisfy her desire to fuck, not really paying attention to Madison as much as her cunt and her reactions which is rather hot. Madison is obviously into Jessie and enjoying herself immensely. The chemistry between the two is that of an incredibly electric one-night stand and absolutely fitting for the scene as well as very hot.

The scene itself is gorgeous, too, in a bed in front of a huge window which really made me want to move into the apartment. The only thing that detracts me from it is Madison has a tendency to let out little squeaky whimpers that kind of irritate me, but not enough to keep me from loving the scene. After much thigh-smacking, abdomen-scratching, fervent fucking we see Jessie waking up and remarking to Madison “what’s keeping you, honey?” Possibly my favorite line in the movie.

After suffering wearing a dress for a photoshoot then flirting and being rejected by her opponent in her next fight Violet (Dallas) Jessie comes home to Kathy with a bit of a bruised ego and takes that frustration out on her. We see her fucking Kathy much more tenderly than we saw her with Madison. The two have wonderful chemistry as lovers, which makes sense because they are lovers in real life. After a long intimate sex scene (yes, I said intimate) Jessie quickly up and leaves, which is as per usual from Kathy’s reaction.

In between clips of Jessie watching videos of old fights we come to what is quite possibly my favorite scene in the film. Jessie’s manager Tiny (Dylan Ryan) comes to see Jessie’s nemisis Bobby (Javier). From the request Tiny makes at the end it seems her reason to come see Bobby is to ask him to not fuck up Jessie’s chance of winning her fight against Violet, not knowing that Bobby has already talked to Jessie and rigged the fight. It’s a good excuse, though, to get these two in a van together.

Bobby and Tiny, like the rest of the couples, have wonderful chemistry and are spectacular to watch. As I mentioned, I think this is my favorite of the scenes, not just because Bobby is a transman and Tiny leaves her shoes on the entire scene which was very butch/femme and very hot, but also because the fucking is simply phenomenal. Bobby uses his cane as a spreader bar on Tiny’s knees (a trick I’m going to have to try) which keeps her wide open for so he can fuck her easily and enables us to watch her ejaculate not once but twice.

Once she’s been sated the tables turn and she’s strapped on with a glittery red harness to fuck him with. Both him fucking her and her fucking him is amazingly hot and I think it’s the combination of the two that really makes it my favorite scene.

After the fight, which in theory is the climax of the film (as opposed to the many climaxes the performers have within it) Jessie and her opponent Violet (Dallas) get down and dirty. This is the first time that we have seen Jessie get fucked, in all her other scenes she is the one doing the fucking but in this scene they are fucking each other.

It is a nearly twenty minute fuckfest of the two of them exploring each others bodies somewhat tenderly before really getting into it. The length was a little long for me, but they kept switching positions and keeping it fresh so it didn’t drag exactly or get repetative. Again, the chemistry here is wonderful and it definitely has that feeling of newness and wonder at a first intimate experience with someone you’ve been lusting at from afar.

Obviously I’m a big fan of the movie. Like I said, I wasn’t too into the plot, but it did give the movie excuse to have a couple fight scenes which were great to watch and to build up the tension between Jessie and Violet for the final scene. Just in case I haven’t raved about it enough, I thought the sex was wonderful and fit the attitudes of the characters and the movie itself. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys hot queer sex and a fairly good storyline.

Angelo is a slightly different kind of vibe than the Boss Lady as he is part of Fun Factory’s miniVibes collection. He’s, well, smaller obviously, and as he takes two AAA batteries rather than four he is less intense as well.

The shape is pleasing to the eye and I love the rippley designs on the shaft and head. While this vibrator was very good and did it’s job to get me off there was just no “wow” factor to it for me. That may be because I’m a bit of a toy snob by now, and while there was nothing wrong with Angelo per se I just wasn’t all that impressed with him.

The idea behind the miniVibes is that they are small enough to carry around with you and fit in a purse or backpack easier than larger, bulkier vibes. This is definitely true, it’s small and compact, rather adorable. It’s also meant to be versatile, with the curve at the end of Angelo being made for both clitoral and g-spot stimulation.

I especially enjoyed Angelo for clitoral stimulation, not with the tip of the curve but with the outer curve itself. I fit the flat back of the curving tip against my clit and was able to use a good amount of pressure, which was very nice and not something all vibrators can do. If you like a lot of pressure Angelo is great for that reason alone.

However, g-spot stimulation was kind of a bust. Angelo just wasn’t really long enough or the right shape or size to get my g-spot where I needed it. Few toys can get me off on g-spot stimulation alone but Angelo not only couldn’t do that but had a difficult time finding my g-spot even with the assist of my knowledgeable hands. Luckily I’m not all to into internal vibration anyway, preferring to keep my vibrators external and my dildos internal, but that could definitely be difficult for some. However, others also may not find it as difficult to find the g-spot with Angelo as I did, so that’s something to keep in mind as well.

Overall Angelo is a decent vibe and great as far as portability. A lot of smaller vibes would either be more expensive or not as well made, which is definitely a plus.

The first moment I laid eyes on Bloomy I was in love. The picture just does not do it justice. It’s gorgeous and unique, qualities I look for in new toys, and qualities which Fun Factory constantly delivers. Since my toy collection is quite vast and grows larger by the week the more unique and unusual looking a toy is the more I’m interested in it. Couple that with high-quality silicone and a gorgeous design and I get even more excited!

Bloomy is shaped similar to some prostate massagers, as it has a curved base and then a stem sticking out which could easily massage the perineum while inserted anally or the clit (depending on where your clit is) when inserted vaginally or anally. The two different shafts of it are basically one strip of silicone looped around itself, crating a very nice finger hold which makes the toy very easy to thrust with and easy to maneuver in general.

While both shafts could technically be inserted I have only played with the larger more bulbous shaft, but we have tried it anally on Onyx and after washing it in the dishwasher to sterilize it I used it on myself vaginally. The sensations were wonderful, the stylized dimples in the shaft definitely create a very unique sensation which adds to the pleasure the toy elicits. I could feel the bumps with every thrust inside myself and found that the stem of Bloomy hit my clit with each thrust as well.

For some reason I imagined the stem of Bloomy to be more circular than it is, but instead it is more rectangular and flat, which makes it fit nicely against those sensitive nether bits either curving up toward the clit or up against the perineum. The stem, aside from adding aesthetic pleasure, definitely makes Bloomy stand a little above most other dildo/plugs.

Obviously Bloomy can be used vaginally and anally, as I’ve mentioned that several times, but if you are wanting to use him both places be sure to sterilize him before going from anus to vagina. Vagina to anus is not a problem, but going the other way can bring bacteria to the wrong area and create issues. Bloomy can be completely sterilized by boiling for 10 minutes, washing in the top shelf of the dishwasher with no soap, or wiping down with a 10% bleach solution. To clean I recommend an anti-bacterial toy cleaner or an anti-bacterial soap especially if using anally.

Even though I fell in love initially with the shape and beauty of Bloomy the functionality and pleasure made me fall in love all over again.

I’ve been interested in Smartballs for quite some time. Smartballs, as you can see above, are basically two round balls connected to each other with a cord attached that is vaguely reminiscent of a tampon string. I’m not sure what the string is made of, as in the information pamphlet it simply says that the string is made to be impermeable so that bacteria can’t get in it, but the material itself is slightly tacky to the touch which is not very pleasant. The tackyness does, however, make it easy to get a grip on the string to pull it out.

The balls themselves have weighted balls inside of them which jiggle around with the slightest of movements. In addition to simply having something inserted that needs to be held inside while using them, the weights add a little more oomph to the toy both in terms of sensation and effectiveness. The weighted balls cause the Smartballs to vibrate slightly inside which causes the pelvic floor muscles to contract around them thus working out the kegel muscles.

Smartballs are made of elastomed which is supposedly a non-porous mixture of Elastomer and Silicone both of which are phthalate-free but the former of which is porous. This is a material used only by Fun Factory (as far as I can tell) and patented by Fun Factory which is supposedly body-safe but I’d still be a little wary at sharing the item even though it’s supposed to be non-porous.

Kegel exercisers are best used on a daily or semi-daily basis for faster results. Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles can improve urinary or bowel control and can also increase control over ejaculation. Specifically for females they increase tightness of the vagina, prevent pelvic prolapse, and can increase sexual arousal/desire. For males they can diminish premature ejaculation, encourage multiple orgasms (especially multiples without ejaculation), and result in a stronger erection.

Smartballs are also just generally arousing, though few people if any would be able to get off from them alone wearing them during masturbation with a vibrator, finger, or tongue on the clit is absolutely divine, and clenching around them during orgasm feels wonderful. They are also great to wear in conjunction with anal Kegel exercisers for added pleasure and a greater workout.

I found the Smartballs to be rather long, almost too long for my vagina when not already aroused, but trying to keep them inside without having them slip out is part of the fun (and definitely the point). They were highly comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time, but due to being just a little too long or my kegel muscles not being up to snuff they had a tendency to fall out, so if you are planning on wearing them outside of the house be sure you have bathrooms where you can adjust them as necessary.

Welcome to Fun Factory Week!

I have five Fun Factory toys to review this week, and I’m starting off with one of my favorites, a Babeland exclusive, Boss, or possibly Boss Lady.

There’s a little confusion over this vibe going around which I definitely share. I actually went to the Babeland store here in Seattle and was able to hold an original Boss in my hand (image on the left below) which is different than the one I received.

When this was offered it was offered with the image and description of the Boss, the item on the left, but what arrived was the Boss Lady, the item pictured below on the right, although not the hot pink version (which I was thankful for) although that seems to be the only color currently available.

Having tried the old-style Boss in the Babeland store I was actually thankful that I got the newer version, as I liked the upgrades better. The newer Boss Lady has two push-buttons to change vibration intensity and vibration patterns, a plus and a minus, while the old-style Boss had a round dial to turn it on and off and I’m unsure if it had vibration patterns though I don’t think it did.

The older-style Boss I tried out in the store did not work very well, while it turned on it was difficult to turn back off because the dial went around and around and I had to find the right spot to turn it off. However, this could also have to do with the fact that it was a demo version that had been out for customers to turn on and off over and over probably for quite some time. The new style Boss’ buttons are somewhat hard to press, especially the first few times I used it, which was highly annoying. They seem to get easier each time I press them, though, which is good, but they are still somewhat stiff.

   

In addition to the stiff plus and minus buttons the Boss it also has a “turbo” or “booster” button beneath them (see image on the left below) which is supposed to up the vibration of the toy just when you need it most to help you get over the edge. I was not impressed at all with the turbo button as it’s extremely difficult to push in the first place, much more difficult than the plus and minus buttons were, and continues to be difficult. It also doesn’t really add that much from what I can tell, so I doubt I’ll actually use it.

There have been quite a few other reviews of Boss which talk about issues with the toy working for a variety of reasons, but I had no issues with mine aside from the stiff buttons. Still, for the price one would hope there shouldn’t be common issues with operation malfunctioning.

The other major difference between the two styles is that the old style had a smooth silicone finish, much like that of other silicone toys, but the new style has a velvety matte finish that is absolutely divine! I couldn’t stop touching it once I got it and love the finish, though it does create more friction than other smoother silicone finishes and that combined with the sublime girth of the toy means a good amount of lubrication is required before insertion.

Speaking of girth, I do quite love the size of the Boss, thick and wonderful without being overwhelming or daunting. Quite perfect, really, especially for an amateur size queen such as myself. Boss is semi-realistic looking with a distinct head and veins at the base of the insertable silicone, and has a wonderful g-spot curve which I could definitely feel and adored.

I adore the black color and am disappointed that Babeland only seems to have the hot pink for sale, although while I was at the store I was told the color selection on Fun Factory toys is somewhat sporadic and they basically just get whatever Fun Factory sends to them regardless of color requests.

Honestly, I’m not big on internal vibrations as I prefer my vibrations clitoral and although Boss’ vibrations are substantial and wonderful for clitoral stimulation he’s rather cumbersome when used that way. However, I love Boss’ girth and the velvety texture is just delicious so I know I’m going to be using him a lot as a dildo at least (which he does very well) even if not with vibration included.

I was first introduced to Yes! lube via a contest on Viviane’s Sex Carnival, in which I technically won a bottle of the water-based kind. Due to the fact I was moving at the time the bottle ended up going to my address in Salt Lake City and I told my ex-roommate Pixie that if it came there she could have it, since once I showed it to her she was ecstatic about getting some and had been thinking about buying some.

She was excited about it because of the company’s values, their mission and their ingredients, specifically the ingredients they do not include. If you think I’m an ingredient/safety nazi you should meet her. She’s quite the hippy, eats organic and basically vegan (which Yes lube is also–organic and vegan), she reads labels and makes sure nothing she owns has parabens, phthalates, DEA, basically any nasty chemical that may do harm of any sort she avoids it.

Her excitement about this lube upon reading the ingredients and going through their website should tell you enough about the product. My excitement about this lube for those same reasons but also because it is my favorite lube to date should also tell you a lot about the product.

I’ve been in search of the perfect lube recently, these two being the seventh and eighth lubes I’ve reviewed in just as many weeks, and specifically the perfect paraben- and glycerin-free lube and these are without a doubt superior to all other products I’ve tried thus far (although there are some that come in a somewhat close second).

The first thing I noticed about the water-based Yes! lube is the consistency. It’s far from the regular lube consistency, rather it reminds me of my own natural lubrication. It’s not completely smooth or watery but has more of a natural feel to it, which is something Yes intended to do.

Because it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals there’s virtually no chance of experiencing irritation, which is wonderful and the reason why I have been choosing glycerin- and paraben-free lubes in general. I have found that the more chemicals a lube has the more likely I will experience some sort of uncomfortable sensation, which is not what I want my lube to do!

The oil-based lube is absolutely wonderful for anal play, which is what I love oil-based lubes for, and has replaced our go-to anal lube because of that. The main thing to keep in mind if using oil-based lube, though, is that it erodes latex so if you want to use a condom with it you need to make sure you are using a non-latex condom otherwise it will not be safe. It can also be used as massage oil, and since it’s completely natural you don’t have to be afraid of it being rubbed into your skin or naughty bits.

The major downfall of the one-strap harness, however, is that there is only one strap, and that strap goes right between the cunt lips, and that area has a tendency to… well, get wet. Very wet. No fancy backing in the front, no fancy lace-up back, not really anything fancy just comfortable and easy-to use. This also makes it small and extremely easy to wear under clothing because there’s so little of it, so it’s a fantastic packing harness as well.

This also allows it to be very inexpensive so you can spend your money on quality dildos rather than the harness.

I’ve found that while storing the straps have a tendency to come detached from each other where they are adjustable, but that’s only when they don’t have pressure on them, so when they are on they don’t do that. It’s slightly annoying when you want to get into the harness in a hurry, but it has no effect on the wearing of the harness itself.

Being a larger lady, I have the Bare As You Dare Harness at just about it’s maximum length, but it definitely still fits and there’s a bit of wiggle room so it’s easy to get it on and off. I’m about a size 3x or 24/26.

The harness comes with a metal o-ring in the front and back, but the o-ring in the front is connected via snaps, meaning you can replace it with different sized rings if you have them so the Bare As You Dare harness can be used with dildos from Bandito to Brando and anywhere in between or beyond.

Any time I want to pack with a harness or wear a harness under my clothes this is the harness I am going to reach for. Really any time I want to fuck I’m going to reach for this harness, though I definitely will be trying some others out and especially more one-strap harnesses, I have a feeling this one will be at the top of my list for quite some time.

For some reason I expected this to be longer, but it’s really quite short. I know it says on the product page that it’s mini, but I still imagined it to be the size of the other rabbit flogger I have, which was the inspiration for me wanting this flogger. It’s short, which isn’t bad, because that means you don’t need full swings to get at places, and it works well on just about anywhere large or small.

Like I said, I have a rabbit flogger, which is nice and soft and is “impact caresses” as Onyx and I have phrased it. The rabbit-only flogger is wonderful for those who don’t like pain at all, or when you want to be nice, or just for giving a soft massage of sorts. I like the feeling of fur flogging but was interested in having a bit more oomph to the sensation as well, so when I saw the fur AND leather flogger I knew I had to try it.

The leather definitely adds sensation. It’s not super stingy, as said above I would give it a one out of three for stingyness, so there’s definitely a little bite to it but hardly any at all. The impact caressing of the rabbit fur added to the slight stingyness of the leather creates a unique sensation. I really love the juxtaposition of this flogger against the other long suede flogger that we have and against the rabbit-ONLY one as well.

It’s not super fancy, but it definitely is unusual. While it doesn’t have any fancy braiding on it the flogger itself is well made and while the price may seem a little much for a small flogger it will last you quite a while. It would be perfect for sensation sluts as well as a great warm-up flogger for pain sluts. Overall I highly recommend it!

I’ve had my Big Foot since January of this year. Even though I had been lusting after all For Your Nymphomation products for quite some time I bought it along with the Flogger Trunk to ease the transport of all my toys while moving from Salt Lake City to Seattle. I was a little hesitant about getting a Big Foot at first, mostly because I thought it looked kind of clunky and awkward, instead I wanted an Adult Toybox for a small carrying-around case, but once I saw it up close I adored it! When I went through security I took the Big Foot out separate from my backpack so that it could go through security. There were two women and a man at the x-ray machine, one of the women was there just to inspect the items going through the machine the other two were to look into items if necessary. The women made the man check my Big Foot. He seemed uncomfortable with the idea, and I could tell from the way they reacted that they knew it was full of sex toys. Luckily I don’t really embarrass that easily.

He took me over to a table and carefully looked through the Big Foot, everything was in separate bags so he didn’t really see much but I could tell he was embarrassed himself. He just kind of smiled and said “okay” after looking around it for a few moments, I smiled brightly and told him I was sorry if I had embarrassed him in a light-hearted way hoping it would make him feel less awkward, then I was on my way. I really think that a Big Foot is a must for anyone who has more than one or two toys, because it’s compact but handy, plus it locks, which I haven’t mentioned at all yet! I have the older model, which doesn’t lock as snazzily as the newer ones (see below).

The newer zippers enable each side of the zipper to close together and a padlock (shown and included) to lock the case more effectively than the previous model. It comes in handy if you have kids, live with family, have nosy roommates, or any other people you need to keep your toy collection secret from. I don’t really have that at the moment, but it’s handy to have just in case I do sometime in the future.

It’s a great size for things other than sex toys as well, you could use it to store just about anything, and would be a great overnight bag of sorts: not too big but big enough to hold a good amount of things.

I love it so much I will probably end up getting another, for additional storage and convenience, in addition to many other For Your Nymphomation products. Even if the Big Foot doesn’t strike your fancy, FYN is bound to have an item that will tickle your fancy, anywhere from an individual toy sized Heart Shaped Box to the ever-coveted Rolling Toy Trunk.
