Lube Review: ID Moments

While I’m happy that some of the larger manufacturers like ID and Astroglide are now making glycerin- and parben-free lubricant I was horribly disappointed with ID Moments specifically. This supposedly hypoallergenic lube has produced a burning sensation on my flesh every time I have used it. At first I thought it was a fluke, so I waited a few days and tried it again. Same result. I used other lubes within this time frame without any burning sensation, but every time I have used ID Moments it has not been pleasant.
While it is glycerin and paraben free it also includes fun ingredients like:
Propylene Glycol – better known as Antifreeze, classified as toxic in Canada, classified as an irritant, and linked to cancer and reproductive, brain, and nervous system issues.
Hexylene Glycol – classified as an irritant by the EU, linked to endocryne system disruption, and an immune system toxicant.
PEG-45M – classified as toxic in Canada, is a known irritant, and linked to cancer and reproductive problems.
Phenoxyethanol – classified as an irritant by the EU, restricted in Japan, and linked to cancer, organ issues, and brain and nervous system issues.
No wonder I was being irritated by this “hypoallergenic” lube! I don’t even understand how ID justifies classifying this as “hypoallergenic” when it includes known irritants and toxic chemicals. Unfortunately there is just not enough regulation on chemicals here in the US, and even less so in sexuality products.
Looking at other reviews of ID Moments it is clear to me that not everyone experienced this lube in the same way I did. Not everyone had a burning sensation on their vulva at first contact that was then made worse with friction. I was not the only one, however, so it’s also not just me. Perhaps my largely chemical-free lifestyle has made me even more sensitive to the nasty chemicals included in this lube.
Either way, however, I can’t in my right mind recommend this to anyone. If you’re looking for a good water-based body-friendly lube, go with Sliquid instead.
Much thanks to PinkCherry sex toys for sending me ID Moments to review. This bad review of ID Moments is in no way a reflection on the fantastic sex toy store PinkCherry.com (and no, they don’t make me say that), but it is a reflection on the company ID.

Review: Sex Clean Toy Cleaner

I’ve been interested in toy cleaner sprays and wipes for quite some time, but never went about getting one until recently. I was attracted to the Sex Clean Toy Cleaner because it advertised as having a natural vegetable base which I also took to mean it wouldn’t have any nasty chemicals in it.
Unfortunately, I was wrong. It does have a natural base but it also has parabens in it, which I’ve talked about in my recent lube reviews. I’m just not a fan of parabens having any sort of contact with my sensitive nether bits.
Supposedly in addition to cleaning your toys Sex Clean Toy Cleaner will also polish and protect your toys. It has a “special embellishing and protecting formula” which is a little strange, and not something I, personally, want my toy cleaners to do. I think cleaners should simply clean the toy not add some extra chemicals to it that polishes and protects them.
Sex Clean Toy Cleaner does, however, clean toys well and conveniently, even with the polishing and even though it’s not anti-bacterial. A few sprays and a quick wiping with a paper towel or something similar and the toy is clean. There’s no worry about getting non-waterproof toys wet and accidentally ruining them.
There’s also no need to get out of bed after a good vigorous toy session, which is the best part. Toys should always be cleaned before and after use to keep them healthy, especially if they are made out of a porous material but even if they aren’t it’s best to keep them clean. I love the idea of a cleaning spray or wipe that alleviates the need to break up the wonderful afterglow to go clean the toy, which made me extra disappointed that I didn’t like this spray.
After being disappointed with the Sex Clean Toy Cleaner I received I went out and bought a bottle of Anti-Bacterial Toy Cleaner (review to come) and although it has more ingredients which I cannot pronounce in it I like it much better. If you are looking for a spray toy cleaner I’d definitely go with the Anti-Bacterial Toy Cleaner instead of the Sex Clean Toy Cleaner unless you have a particular desire for polishing your toys and don’t mind the parabens.
Much thanks to Pink Cherry for letting me review Sex Clean Toy Cleaner!

I really hate to give bad reviews, but the loudness of the Tuyo was so distracting that I couldn’t get into it.
While not all Tuyo’s have this noise issue enough of them have it and enough people have complained about it that it is an issue with the toy and not just with my toy.
Sorry Big Teeze and Babeland! I really wanted to like Tuyo, the design is so awesome and unique that I really thought I would like it, but I really just can’t.
Thank you very much to Babeland for allowing me to review Tuyo!

Review: Miracle Massager Attachment

Last week I reviewed the Miracle Massager, and I was definitely pleased with it (not as strong as the Hitachi Magic Wand but still yummy vibration-wise and superior in other areas). So, this week it’s my turn to review the Miracle Massager Attachment, which is made out of clear PVC. I would like it a lot better if it was made out of silicone, as PVC and, specifically jelly as is the sub-category of PVC which this toy is made of, is extremely porous so it should not be shared.
Now, I’ve read a few reviews of the attachment, including people saying that they love the Miracle Massager even more with it, and I wish I could give it a good review. Unfortunately, my problem with the Massager Attachment is one of anatomy.
Let’s back up a little, however, so you can have more information about the attachment before I go into my issue with it. I found it gorgeous, I love see-through toys (glass or otherwise), and the shape is appealing as well. It has a nice ridged end, perfect for g-spot stimulation, as well as a platform extending out of that with lots of little “love nubs” which is just fantastic for clitoral stimulation.
As one can assume, the attachment is made so that one can have that dual-action feeling, a nice g-spot vibration as well as a stimulating clitoral massage. Unfortunately, as can be the problem with a lot of dual-action toys, when I inserted the toy the nubby platform did not line up with my clit! I had to move the toy around and maneuver it just right so that it hit my clitoris, but when I did that, it pulled out of my vagina almost all the way.
Like I said, this is an issue of anatomy, specifically my anatomy, and there are others who find this toy to be perfect and to line up just right. The nice thing is that this attachment is fairly inexpensive, so if you already have the Miracle Massager and want to try this toy out, I would still highly recommend it. It may line up perfectly, but even if it doesn’t you won’t have spent a whole lot of money on it.
However, even if your anatomy is like mine this toy doesn’t have to be a complete waste! While, yes, I was unable to have both clitoral and g-spot stimulation happening at once I was still able to achieve orgasm with the nubs on my clit and the first inch or so of the shaft inside of me. I was still getting combined vaginal and clitoral stimulation, and since the first three inches or so of the vaginal walls are, they say, the most sensitive, it wasn’t a complete loss.
Also, if you happen to have something like the silver bullet lying around (review two weeks from today) you can make the toy work for you by using the Miracle Massager Attachment for it’s g-spot capabilities, letting the nubs rub the vulva and urethra area (the vulval vestibule), and then using the glorious silver bullet for direct (or indirect, if that’s your desire) clitoral stimulation. I found that to work quite well as well!
Personally, I would much prefer using the Miracle Massager as a direct clitoral stimulator accompanied by my Vicky Venus (read my review here), or (if I’m wanting that g-spot stimulation) a g-spot toy like the Stubby G, Gigi or Iris (none of which I own, but I aspire to!).
Psst… don’t forget about The Obama for President Coupon!
