BDSM Toy Review: Electrosex Pleasure Clamps

The Electrosex Pleasure Clamps are one of two accessories I received to go along with my Electrosex Deluxe Power Box. First, a little on electrosex play.
Basically electrosex toys stimulate beneath the surface rather than on the surface like most toys and massagers and the like. An electrical current is passed through the body between two contact points in order to electrify the muscles underneath. It feels very much like a deep tissue massage at the lower levels, though it can produce painful sensations as well.
Zeus recommends not to play with any of their electrosex equipment above the waist or if you “have a pace maker, have epilepsy or other neurological disease, are pregnant, have heart disease, while driving or operating equipment,” or “near any metal objects such as piercing jewelery, rings, bracelents, or metallic IUDs.” Zeus recommends the first bit to save their own asses for selling such equipment, I believe, it can be used above the waist as long as the current doesn’t pass through the chest cavity as even at a low voltage there is risk of interfering with heart function.
Now, the clamps. They are just one piece, two clamps attached to a cord with a jack on the end, think kinky earphones that don’t go in your ears and clip on to tender pieces of flesh. The clamps are strong enough to hold on to wherever you put them but hardly pinch at all. These are especially made for genitals, with a very soft pinch they can hang from labia or scrotum or anywhere else you want to put them!
Do not put these on nipples! Did you read what I said above about the current not passing through the chest cavity? Where are your nipples? Pretty much right over the chest cavity? Yes. So, don’t do it. The temptation to use them on your nipples is very strong, believe me, I want to every time I play with them, but it’s a bad bad bad idea. Just say no.
They can have a tendency to get a little messy depending on where you put them (inner labia are not notoriously dry), so if they get bodily juices on them and you need to clean them just remember to disconnect them completely from the box before doing so. You should always disconnect them from the box while storing or cleaning, just in case.
The current that runs through them is very much dependent on the box that they are attached to, but these do conduct currents very well. I’ve used them in one slot and adhesive pads that come with the Deluxe Power Box in the other and comparatively they are just slightly weaker than the pads, but that’s not a bad thing considering the sensitive areas you may be putting them on.
Much thanks to Tabu Toys sex toys for allowing me to review the Electrosex Pleasure Clamps and the Electrosex Deluxe Power Box!

Review: Intimate Organics Foaming Bath – Orange & Wild Ginger

Who doesn’t love bubble baths? My apartment in Seattle has a wonderful tub for bubble baths, surprisingly deep, and I have had many a relaxing and wonderful bath there. The wonderfully energizing properties of Intimate Organics Orange & Wild Ginger Foaming Bath makes it a wonderful addition to any bathtime fun. However, don’t get duped into thinking this is a wonderful organic natural product.
Intimate Organics is tricky, with a name that has Organics in the title and the words Certified Organic on the bottom left side of the front of the label one would think their products would be 100% organic, but they’re not. They are made with 100% certified organic extracts, however, and are vegan, DEA- and paraben-free, and
It may be good in those regards, but being called organic and natural doesn’t mean it actually is. It boasts that it is DEA (diethanolamine) free right on the label and yet one of it’s ingredients is Cocamide DEA which is a derivative of DEA! It doesn’t contain DEA itself, so I suppose saying it is DEA-free isn’t completely a lie. To be fair, Cocamide DEA and other DEA derivatives are indeed safer than DEA itself, but they have still been linked to cancer and irritation like DEA.
It also includes sodium laureth sulphate, which is a poison and irritates the skin more than actually helping it. It gets rid of the natural healthy oils on our skin and then stays in our skin because our liver is unable to process it. Once SLS absorbs into the body it mimics the hormone Oestrogen messing with the body’s natural hormonal balance.
Unfortunately, sodium laureth sulphate is in the majority of bath products and even in things such as toothpaste. If Intimate Organics was really concerned about being all natural and healthy they would not include this, however.
Now, if you aren’t concerned about it’s ingredients than Intimate Organics Orange & Wild Ginger Foaming Bath would be fantastic for you. It can also be used as a body wash in addition to filling your tub with wonderful bubbles. It smells wonderful, a very natural orange scent as if you have peeled a dozen in the room, and that mixed with the spice of ginger makes the bathroom smell wonderful. I enjoyed the aromatherapy aspects of the foaming bath, even if the ingredients did not meet my standards.
Much thanks to Pink Cherry for sending me Orange & Wild Ginger Foaming Bath to review!

Vibrator Review: Tantus Deuce 2
Written by Feb 11, 2010, 12:27
No Comment • Related Topics: 3 Lotuses - Good, Dildos, Tantus, Text Reviews, Vibrators

The Deuce 2 is not a toy I would have chosen for myself, especially lately. I’ve been going for insertables like the Tantus Curve, ones with a pronounced curve specifically designed to hit the g-spot. Though Tantus claims it is designed with the g-spot in mind I dismissed it out of hand when I first received it. It looked plain and less interesting, plus my g-spot and squirting addiction was just starting up so I had no intention of using a toy that wouldn’t get me gushing.
It definitely surprised me, however. It doesn’t have the same type of exact g-spot stimulation that other curved toys have, but the ridges on the head seem to hit my spot wonderfully as I thrust with it, especially if done at a slight angle. It is about average thickness at 1.5 inches in diameter and the head tapers so wonderfully making it very easy to insert.
As one would assume from the name there is also a Deuce 1 made by Tantus. The first of the series is thicker (1.75 inches) and while it still has two ridges the second ridge is in a much different place. It looks slightly curved, moreso than the second, but I have only seen the picture. After trying the Deuce 2 I’m quite interested in the Deuce 1 as well.
Since it is made by Tantus it is 100% medical-grade silicone, which means it is one of the very safest toy materials out there. It is non-porous and phthalate free. It can be completely sterilized (boil for 10 minutes or stick on the top rack of your dishwasher with no soap) so it can be shared between non fluid-bonded partners and orifices without worry as long as it is cleaned between holes.
Tantus says the Deuce 2 is “an ideal strap-on vibrator” for, yes, it is a vibrator not just a dildo, though with Tantus toys the difference between the two is whether or not there is a hole in the bottom of the toy made for a bullet vibe to fit in or not. The Deuce 2 does indeed have a hole for a bullet vibe and, thus, came with one. The bullet vibe is one-speed but the vibrations can be felt all the way through the toy to the tip. However, I’m not big on internal vibration, I prefer my vibes to be strong and on my clit, so I rarely use this toy as a vibrator.
As for the strap on part of “an ideal strap-on vibrator” it does work well for that. It has a nice wide base, albeit a little flimsy, so if you are going to be using it on someone who has a tendency to constrict around a toy while being fucked there is the possibility of it being pulled out of the harness. As long as you have the right size o-ring, however, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
I’ve used it both vaginally and anally (once it goes in your butt make sure to clean it really really well if you are going to use it vaginally again!) and I especially love the tapered head, as I mentioned before, which makes it super easy to insert with proper lubrication. The ridges on the head provide excellent stimulation while thrusting, especially for the more sensitive backdoor.
I didn’t expect to enjoy the Deuce 2, but I definitely did! I shouldn’t be too surprised, for it is made by Tantus, and I haven’t yet met a Tantus toy I haven’t enjoyed. While I wouldn’t say this is the perfect toy, or up on my top ten, it is definitely well made and well designed.
A big huge thanks to Tantus for sending me a Deuce 2 to review!

Review: Fun Factory Smartballs Teneo Uno and Duo
Written by Feb 2, 2010, 15:47
No Comment • Related Topics: 4 Lotuses - Very Good, Fun Factory, Kegel Exercisers, Text Reviews

Kegel Exercisers are wonderful things, they basically help you exercise the muscles of the pelvic floor without a lot of conscious effort on your part, you just need to remember to wear them.
Kegel exercises can be done in numerous ways with various different implements, not just balls, but the best well-known vaginal balls are Ben Wa Balls, basically a ball with another ball-shaped weight inside of it that wiggle around during wear and stimulate your pelvic floor muscles. They are best to be done every day for fastest results, just like any other kind of exercises.
The awesome thing about balls like these is that you don’t really have to do anything in order to be exercising your pelvic floor muscles except move. They are a wonderful way to spruce up even the most boring menial tasks! The weight in the center vibrates slightly as you move around giving you immediate stimulation and arousal while working your kegels.
In the short-term it will increase your arousal level and can be especially wonderful to use in a D/s setting. In the long-term the benefits of strengthening your pelvic floor are both practical as well as sexual. It improves urinary and bowel control and can also increase control over ejaculation for both males and females. Specifically for females they increase tightness of the vagina, can improve vaginal control, and can increase sexual arousal/desire. For males they can diminish premature ejaculation, encourage multiple orgasms (especially multiples without ejaculation), and result in a stronger erection.
Smartballs are not made for males, however, as they should never ever be used anally. For anal kegel exercisors check out the Aneros Peridise.
Original Smartballs vs. Smartballs Teneo Uno and Duo
Fun Factory took the basic design of Ben Wa Balls and came up with their Original Smartballs (image), two slightly oblong balls attached together with an easy removal cord which could be worn all day if you so choose.
The Smartballs Teneo line is basically Smartballs 2.0. Unlike the Original Fun Factory Smartballs the Teneo line of Smartballs are made of silicone, not Fun Factory‘s own creation of Elastomed. Also, instead of an oval-y shaped ball with indented slits around the sides in a different color like the original Smartballs the Teneo Uno and Duo have a bit more texture to their design, as you can see. They still have the inlayed slits, but have a ribbon of silicone moving around them for even more feeling when they’re up inside you.
Probably my favorite difference between Smartballs 1.0 and Teneo is the finger groove on the bottom of each ball which makes insertion much easier. Teneo was also improved by giving the wearer a choice between one ball or two, making it easier for beginners or those of us with shorter vaginal canals to work on our muscles using a more comfortable singular ball.
Finally, the retrieval cord on the Teneo line is also made of silicone and is the same color as the rest of the ball, unlike on the Smartballs 1.0 which was of an unknown material (not silicone), slightly tacky, and white regardless of the ball colors.
Smartballs vs. Other Vaginal Balls
Other than Fun Factory’s versions I have also tried the LELO Luna Beads and Ophoria K-Balls (review coming soon), both of which have balls which are closer to perfectly round than the ones found on any of the versions of Smartballs, but neither have a completely silicone cord or the extremely handy finger groove.
While the LELO Luna Beads do have the option between using one ball or two and also varying ball weights the balls are made of ABS plastic rather than silicone and the retrieval cord is made of a fiber which can get stiff after encountering fluid, which is highly annoying.
The Ophoria K-balls are made of silicone, but are much more similar to the Smartballs 1.0 than the Teneo line.
There are many other types of vaginal balls and other kegel exercisers out there as well, but these are the only ones I have experienced personally.
So… Are they worth it?
I think the Teneo Uno specifically is my favorite of all the vaginal balls I have encountered. The Duo is wonderful as well, but I haven’t made up my mind between it and the K-balls. Maybe by the time I review the K-balls I’ll have a better idea. They are definitely close to the top if not the very top, so I definitely recommend them.
A big thank you to Good Vibrations for providing me with Smartballs Teneo Kegel Sex Toy!

Dildo Review: Fun Factory Wave

The second I saw the Fun Factory Wave I fell in love. It comes in purple and turquoise01, both colors are gorgeous and rich in true Fun Factory fashion. I absolutely love Fun Factory toys not just because they come in a wide variety of colors and extremely unique shapes but also because they only use body-safe materials.
Like most other Fun Factory toys the Wave is made out of 100% medical-grade silicone. It is glossy and smooth, so with a dab of lube02 it is easy to insert and thrust with. It is fairly hard silicone as well, not as hard as glass or metal obviously, but more firm than other silicone toys I have experienced (the Fun Factory Curve, for example is softer than Wave).
Silicone is non-porous, phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, super easy to clean and sterilize-able so it can be shared between partners (fluid-bonded or not) without having to worry about bacteria getting caught in it03 or anything like that. The easiest way to sterilize silicone is just to pop it in the dishwasher on the top rack with no soap, you can also boil it for 10 minutes in a large pot, or wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. To clean, simply wash with soap and water. Since this is a dildo without any mechanical or buzzy vibrating parts it can be completely submerged without the risk of damage.

Although this is not my second Fun Factory dildo this is the second I’ve owned with this particular base, the first being Bandito. The base is nice and thick, about 1/2 inch at least, and instead of being circular it has a triangle-like shape to it. The design of the base makes it extremely easy to grip, each indent in the triangle is a perfect place to hold on to while thrusting.
It also is perfect for use in a harness. As long as you have the correct o-ring size it will not slip out as the thickness of the base prevents it from warping out of the ring. The triangle shape makes it fit well in any harness, fitting with the natural triangle shape of the pubic mound and making it extremely comfortable. While the base is not made to be a suction-cup, but it is slightly concave and can work somewhat well as one if you try.
The dildo itself is fairly long, seven and a half inches, which makes it excellent for use in a harness by a larger person04 such as myself as you can easily see it. I think longer dildos give more control over movements in some way as well, with shorter toys I tend to slip out more often, but longer ones are easier to keep inside. It is also gracefully curved and hits the g-spot easily and wonderfully. The firmness of the silicone really makes it ideal for g-spot or p-spot stimulation.

As you can see in the pictures above the shaft is also where Wave gets it’s name. It has three distinct “waves” in it which each are gradually larger than the other. They have a nice curve to them so they are not jarring when inserted but, rather, a pleasant sensation. They give the feeling of fullness without the shaft being too thick in and of itself.
I have used Wave both in a harness and solo and I think it shines both ways, the ridges on it are lovely, gradually increasing in side and giving delightful sensation when moving in and out. It is currently one of my favorite harness-compatible toys. If you love ribbed dildos or just want to try one I would definitely say this is a wonderful one to try.
You can find the Fun Factory Wave as well as other dildos and sex toys of every flavor on Vibrator.com. A big huge thank you to Vibrator.com for providing me with the Fun Factory Wave!

Lube Review: Sliquid Sizzle
Written by Dec 17, 2009, 08:27

I thought I would branch out a bit and try a new kind of lube for me: warming lube. After absolutely loving Sliquid Original H2O and Sliquid Organics Natural Gel I knew Sliquid would be the perfect company for my first warming lube.
Sliquid is dedicated to producing glycerin- and paraben-free lubes which works wonderfully for me as I am trying to only use lubes without those ingredients. Glycerin can cause or exacerbate yeast infections in women prone to them, is used as a suppository for constipation so it can *ahem* do the opposite of that if used anally01 and if that isn’t enough it is also responsible for the horrible stickyness that most water-based lubes are known for. Parabens are endocrine-disrupting chemicals and can disrupt the reproductive system including mimicing estrogen or affecting the secretion of testosterone, they’re found in lots of things and I am avoiding them everywhere as much as possible.
Sliquid lubes are also hypoallergenic, non-toxic, non-staining, vegan, and compatible with condoms and every sex toy material. They even have an Organics line and an organic version of Sizzle called Sensation.
The only difference between the ingredients of Sliquid Sizzle and Sliquid Original is food grade menthol which actually triggers cold receptors and creates more of a cooling sensation than a warming one. The cooling is so intense, however, it’s almost like a warming sensation. Technically menthol irritates your skin, which may be (I think) the source of the warming-like sensation.
Friction is supposed to activate and enhance the warming-like sensation, and it definitely does it’s job. It usually only takes a couple seconds after applying Sizzle before I can feel it with no additional rubbing aside from that which is needed to apply it. Due to the lack of glycerin Sizzle is not sticky at all, yet it’s also not thin like a lot of other water-based lubes. It’s quite thick, actually, which helps you get it only where you want it.
Since it does have menthol in it the taste and smell reflect that quite evidently. If licked soon after putting to use before it has the chance to calm down a little bit it can definitely make your tongue tingle, which makes for interesting oral. It also smells like menthol, though I can’t smell it when it is on me I’m sure if your nose was down near it you would be ale to smell it, so if you don’t like minty smelling things you might want to pass.
Personally, I’m not sure how I feel about the warming-like sensation of Sliquid Sizzle. I have only used this on my clit, not internally as I’m not sure I would enjoy that sensation and haven’t gotten up the nerve to give it a try. Though I imagine it feels much like many other warming lubes and I know it feels similar to a few arousal products which employ menthol or peppermint oil to do their “arousing,” I’m just not convinced I enjoy that tingly cooling/warming sensation in general. I do know that it has piqued my interest, and I am definitely interested in trying other warming and cooling products out there.
My own preferences aside, however, this is a wonderful lubricant from a wonderful company and a great way to dive into sensation lubes or to enhance an existing collection.
You can find Sliquid Sizzle, along with other Sliquid products, Dildos and sex toys of every flavor on SexToy.Com.
Name: Sizzle – Warming Formula

Porn Review: Courtney Trouble’s Speakeasy
Written by Dec 17, 2009, 06:06
No Comment • Related Topics: 4 Lotuses - Very Good, Porn - Queer, Reel Queer Productions, Text Reviews

I swear, it seems like Courtney Trouble is making films just for me. Queer Porn Noir? How does she know what I have always longed to see? This is the second film by Courtney that I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing (the first being Nostalgia) and it won’t be the last.
The first line of Speakeasy kind of sums up what it is about: “Queer Speakeasy, a secret underground club famous for its hedonism, genderfucking, drama.” Based on real life Speakeasy clubs which were establishments during prohibition which served alcohol illegally. Of course this means all the characters are decked out in suspenders, fedoras, high heels, classy dresses, and look absolutely wonderful.
The only problem I had with it is that I didn’t care much for it’s leading lady, Lorelei Lee. While I do think she was a fit for the part and she did look the part she’s just not my kind of girl so I didn’t find her that attractive. She also frequently let off high pitched whimpers within her two scenes which was distracting, she kind of sounded like a dolphin.
Even though I didn’t care for her I did think her scenes were hot, especially the first one with Tomcat. Both of her scenes left me a little uneasy, however, as her character seemed to be out of control and often she didn’t seem like she was enjoying her lack of control instead she was burdened by it, especially with Tomcat. The two scenes without her were amazing and two of my favorite scenes in any porn I’ve ever watched. I fell head-over-heels with Speakeasy, as I have with everything by Courtney Trouble I’ve seen thus far (more reviews coming).
The music helps to set the mood as well, but I don’t mean the bow chicka bow wow style mood, but rather it is mostly piano-based period music which fades when the scene is colorful and helps the sex scenes connect with the rest of the movie. All non-sex scenes are in black and white and are wonderful at framing the sex as well as giving a feel for the period the piece is imitating. When the black and white scenes change to color everyone else we see in the establishment disappears aside from the couple in the scene, which gives the sex scenes the feeling of fantasy.
I especially love watching Jiz Lee and Dallas Fivestar enter the club at the beginning of the film: once inside Dallas hands Jiz the purse Dallas was carrying, takes the flower out of hir hair, takes of the feminine looking coat ze is wearing to reveal a white button-up shirt and suspenders, and slips a cap on hir head as an added touch. Ze successfully goes from a socially acceptable feminine appearance to one more masculine, which would have been appropriate for the time period.

Synopsis
A mysterious detective with a heart of gold and a fist of honey discovers an underground queer speakeasy, filled to the brim with hedonism and topped with a cherry bomb. Lorelei is a drop dead gorgeous femme fatale ignored by her misfit man, who would rather guzzle ale and arm wrestle than please his lady. She takes matters into her own hands with the elusive detective, who’s more than willing to fight for a chance to dance. Meanwhile, the bar heats up as Jiz Lee and Dallas Fivestar seductively play with suspension and sex – and the Speakeasy’s bartenders split the tips the hard way. Shot in the style of classic film noir and reminiscent of the 1940’s, Speakeasy draws you inside it’s secret world of rough sex, queer fetish, and fearlessness.
-via Courtney Trouble
Scene-by-scene

The first scene has no real lead in, it just drops us in the action of Lorelei Lee and Tomcat going at it in a hallway. There is an obvious power dynamic from the start between the two of them, and at points Tomcat is pretty rough with Lorelei including choking, much slapping, and dirty talk.
Most of the scene is extremely enjoyable, but when Lorelei gets really excited she seems to make that squeal/whimper sound that is pretty common, and while I’m sure in the moment it is hot it doesn’t do anything for me, so I end up watching a lot of the scene with the sound down. The other thing that I noticed is there seems to be two different camera angles in the scene, and the lighting is different depending on the angle, which is slightly distracting to the scene as a whole.
I do really like it, though, even if I have to turn the sound down.

This may possibly be my favorite scene in any porn I have ever seen thus far. Jiz Lee is rope suspended by Dallas Fivestar first partially and then fully. Jiz and Dallas work off of each other wonderfully and it’s obvious that they are both enjoying the scene and genuinely having fun. At one point after Jiz is tied up but before they are suspended Dallas puts hir cap on them, which is adorable.
There is a lot of wonderful rope work in the scene, and it gives a great example of how rope can take a while but there are plenty of things to while tying someone up to keep things interesting. This scene also has a bit of strange lighting disparities, but the beauty of the suspension is so great that it didn’t bother me while watching it, though I did notice it.

Another favorite scene of mine is a bit of the opposite of the last one, the bartenders Mustache Malone and Cyd can’t keep their hands off of each other and have some excellent gay FTM strap-on fucking behind the bar. It is a wonderfully queer scene, with two realistic colored Vixen Creations cocks (a Leo and another VixSkin one I’m not sure of). Mustache’s harness seems to slip down while he’s fucking Cyd bent over the bar, but that is the only thing that distracts from the extremely hot scene.

The final scene comes after a fight between Billy Castro and Tomcat which results in both of them on the floor. Essentially they are fighting over Lorelei Lee, and she shows her appreciation to Billy in this final scene. He is equipped with what looks like a Vixen Creations Brando, a monster cock if ever there was, which makes an obscene bulge in his pants which made me exclaim “let it out already!” before Lorelei has the good sense to let the beast free.
Unfortunately this is another scene where I had to turn the volume down, and this one pretty much the entire time. I enjoy her sounds most of the time, but Billy’s guttural grunts added to her dolphin squeaks just did not do it for me. The scene in general seemed very odd to me as well, maybe because she is pushed around so much during the duration of the film and even though she is choosing to be with Billy and their interaction is much more tender than hers with Tomcat it still seems more of a helpless action than a chosen one. I’m not entirely sure why, I’m still thinking about that one.
There was also a part of the scene where a DO NOT URINATE in building sign was on the ceiling directly above Lorelei, and I couldn’t help but be amused when it caught my eye. Why? I’m not sure.
Despite not being fond of the lead actress still I absolutely adore Speakeasy, and I do think that other people would enjoy the sounds in the first and last scene even though I didn’t. The suspension scene is amazing, though, too, and if nothing else, this scene is worth getting the movie (though there are plenty of other reasons).
Much thanks to Good Releasing for sending me Speakeasy! (It can also be found for purchase GoodVibes)

Electrosex has fascinated me for a long time, but I’ve only recently started playing around with it. I was fortunate to receive a Kinky Stocking last year from FetLife for being a FetLife Greeter and within it came a Zeus Electrogasm which is a complete unit so it can be used independently without a power box. Since receiving it I have been increasingly intrigued by electrical play but the real breakthrough in my electrosex journey came when I was sent the Electrosex Deluxe Power Box.
The Deluxe Power Box doesn’t come with terribly detailed instructions so I had to do a bit of digging on my own. Luckily there is a lot of information on electrosex out there if you look. The kit does have an instruction booklet, but mainly it goes through basic safety instructions and equipment/button information and not the actual working of the device. Pretty much every thing you need to start playing with electrosex immediately is in here: the power box itself, three AAA batteries, two connective wires/leads, four adhesive pads, and two cord winders for each lead.
The Deluxe Power Box really makes electrosex easy, all you really have to do is attach the pads to the leads and the leads to the power box and you can start using it immediately. The leads attach with what looks exactly like a headphone jack and plug in to either of two ports on the top of the box.
The controls are somewhat confusingly labled but also fairly easy to figure out on their own or with the aid of the manual: on and off, which are self-explanatory; strong and weak which actually turn the intensity up higher or lower when the box is on; manual which can be used to move through each of the seven different modes of sensation sequentially, or automatic which will cycle through them each for you over a period of about twenty minutes; time, also self-explanatory, you can set each session to last 5, 10, or 15 minutes; and higher intensity which “can change the width of the pulse, causing a therapeutic effect deep into your skin and muscles” though to date I have yet to actually feel a difference after pressing this button.
It has seven different modes and sixteen levels of intensity. An easy to read digital display which lets you know exactly what setting it is on at any given time. The modes are: acupuncture, naprapathy, united stroke, slow stroke, massage, cupping, and scraping. Each have their own distinct sensations and the delight of having sixteen levels of intensity means that each mode can be massaging and pleasurable or painful and shocking.
Acupuncture: a constant quick tapping sensation, equivalent to “dot” in Morse code (I’ve been watching too much Alias), can be painful even on low levels of insensity.
Naprapathy: a constant long tapping sensation, equivalent to “dash” in Morse code, more pleasant than the Acupuncture setting I think.
United stroke: a series of quick taps, maybe about twenty, followed by a pause before continuing over again. I found this very pleasant because of the break in the rhythm.
Slow stroke: another series of quick taps followed by a pause only this time the taps increase and decrease in number as they go, starting with three, pause, six, pause, and so on.
Massage: a long deep wave followed by a tapering off of intensity and consistency ending in a few short light taps before a pause and then starting over again, especially lovely on sore muscles (as one would expect given it’s name). It somehow seems to pulse deeper than the others.
Cupping: nearly a steady sensation, very tingly and not something I can stand for long, it seems to get gradually more intense after a brief period without touching the controls then gradually less intense, though that could just be my imagination. The breaks of the previous modes are more pleasant.
Scraping: feels similar to the steady cupping sensation only it has breaks built in about every six seconds or so.
After getting familiar with each of the modes I quickly realized that I had favorites. Massage and scraping outshine the others in my eyes, but that also depends on what sensation I am wanting to experience. I’ve used this on sore muscles with great results in addition to using it for play to provoke painful reactions.
However, there are a few things which irritate me about the box as well. Each time you switch between modes the intensity goes back down to one, while this is good as a cautionary measure–and probably makes the most sense because each mode is different on each intensity and while I can take an eight on one I wouldn’t like an eight on another–it is still irritating to me because it means in order to switch between modes I have to build up in intensity again, which could easily disrupt the scene. The other problem is it can only be used in 5, 10, or 15 minute bursts. While it is easy to turn it on again after the time is up this is also disrupting to any flow of pain or pleasure that might be gained without such a constriction.
The Power box is also compatible with any Zeus accessories that are bipolar, I have the Torpedo Plug and Pleasure Clamps which both work well and easily with the power box, you just have to plug them in to the box and turn it on to get them to work. Because the leads have snap hooks, as well, they can be attached to pretty much any metal object to turn them into an electrosex prop. Since learning this I have had the desire to try to electrify my Njoy toys, though I haven’t tried it yet.
My interest in electrosex has definitely been piqued, and I’m eager to delve deeper into experiencing this different type of sensation. The Electrosex Deluxe Power Box is a wonderful toy which is easy for beginners to pick up and go with but also powerful enough for advanced users. I highly recommend doing lots of research before delving in to something like electrosex, but know that once you start you might not want to stop.
Much thanks to Tabu Toys sex toys for allowing me to review the Electrosex Deluxe Power Box!

Review: Liberator Whirl XT

When I first saw a picture of the Whirl I didn’t think much about it, I was distracted by my love for other of the many wonderful Liberator items like the Ramp or Throe. After receiving the Ramp some time ago I began looking for something a little more maneuverable, something that would also be easy to leave on the bed at all times without worry of who might see it, and the Whirl was it.
Like all Liberator shapes it consists of three layers. The core is made of “champagne foam” which is extremely firm, as I mentioned, it is a “high caliber, high-density, polyurethane foam” according to the Liberator FAQs. The next layer is a zip slip cover of water-resistant nylon (not waterproof, mind you) which means you don’t have to worry about lube or ejaculate messing up the inner core. The top layer is a super soft microfiber which also unzips so that it can be washed and cleaned easily without worry. Liberator also mentions the outer layer is stain-resistant to water-based lubes and lotions.
It easily doubles as a round pillow, the major difference between it and a pillow is how firm it is. It’s not terribly comfortable to use strictly as a head pillow since it’s firm and rather tall at nine inches, but it works wonderful straight up on it’s round end as a back support or for it’s more naughty intended purpose: during sex.
The Whirl gives an extra lift exactly where you need it and has a tendency to open up the area lifted so that it is more accessible than it would be otherwise. It works wonderfully for doggy-style penetration used either parallel or perpendicular to the upper body as well as to lift the hips of someone who is on their back, though it doesn’t have to just be used under the hips either, which is the default position for most sex pillows I think. It can be used under the head, under the knees for extra thrusting support for the person laying down, to prop one leg up on for side-by-side sex, or anything else you could think of.
I frequently use it for back support while sitting up against the wall or under my chest while laying on my stomach in order to comfortably work on my laptop as I am doing right now. I also love to use it as a cuddling partner or to prop my leg up on while going to bed or snuggling as the little spoon. I recently sprained my ankle pretty badly and it was the perfect height to prop my leg up on in bed while recovering. It has easily become my preferred piece of sex furniture–or, simply, bedroom furniture–over the Ramp.
Due to it’s smaller size it is much easier to use than the Ramp, especially on a whim. It would be one thing if we had the space for the Ramp to be set up at all times, but even kept near the bed it is often too cumbersome to get out during spur of the moment activities. I much prefer the Whirl at these times because it can easily be maneuvered into the right position.
The big downside, however, is it compresses much more under my considerable weight than the Ramp does, probably because it’s smaller in size and lacks adequate support. This wouldn’t be the case for everyone, I believe, and lighter individuals would have an easier time using it without it squishing under them allowing use of the round shape of it to move around on or be moved around by a partner.

Is it really that much better than using a pillow to do the same thing? I think it definitely is. Even though it squishes a little it doesn’t squish nearly as much as a regular pillow would, the champagne foam is hard enough to give adequate resistance while soft enough to still be extremely comfortable.
While it doesn’t look like much I think the Whirl is more than meets the eye since it has so many wonderful functions and varieties of use, from everyday to sexual. I can’t imagine my bed without one in it anymore and I don’t want to try, it has definitely become a necessary item in my life.
Thank you to Liberator for sending me a Whirl XT to review!

Game Review: Truth or Dare- A Game of Passion

Although I am a fan of cheesyness in general I’m not big on cheesy adult games, and I’d never seen any done intelligently, so when I first found out that I was getting Truth or Dare: A Game of Passion from Good Vibrations to review I was far from enthused. I thought I would look at it a few times for review purposes and then toss it into a box and forget about it.
While I can’t say for sure if I am going to be using it over and over again I do think it is one of the best and most intelligently thought out adult card games I have ever seen. I have a couple adult games that were given to me as gifts over the years which are extremely basic and cheesy asking questions that sounded like they were written by a giggling teenager who thought it was really funny to say “sex.” This ended up making the games not very fun to play.
Truth or Dare: A Game of Passion is different, however. It is gender-neutral so people of all genders can play easily, though it does use terms like “opposite sex” and does not leave room for the possibility of multiple partners, but those are just about the extent of my problems with it.
The questions encourage thought about sexuality and sexual desires as well as bonding between partners and exploration of the current relationship. It doesn’t leave room for basic one-word answers, the questions are often long and in-depth to evoke in-depth answers.
The dares incorporate some of the classic dares such as prank phone calls (with sex-related twists), role playing, exposing yourself, and so on. They are often cliche but set out in a manner that actually makes them new and fun to do. The cards themselves range from innocent to kinky but I haven’t yet read one that I thought was overly stupid or unintelligent. Some examples:
Truths
- If you were the teacher of a sex-ed class, what would be the one lesson you would teach your students that no one ever taught you?
- If you and your partner were to shed your clothes this very instant and use your discarded clothing as impromptu bondage material, which one of you would get tied up, and which one of you would be in charge? Describe, step-by-step, which items of clothing you would select and how they would be used.
- Do your best to articulate the difference in feeling between a climax achieved orally and a climax achieved during intercourse. Which do you prefer?
- What is your partner’s most amazing sexual skill? While your partner parobably already knows how much you enjoy that particular skill, take the time to go into details, describing the last time he or she used that skill, from start to finish, and what exactly you loved about it.
Dares
- After selecting a racy adult movie or Internet clip, play a random segment on the TV or computer with the sound down. While the movie plays, create your own sound effects and impromptu dialogue, playing all the characters. You can have your partner join in on the fun for additional character voices.
- This isn’t the hot potato you remember from childhood! Turn your television on and switch to a channel that is broadcasting a commercial. As the commercials play, toss a sex toy back and forth between you and your partner. When the commercials end and the station’s programming begins, the person holding the sex toy must use it on themselves until the station breaks for another commercial. Your partner may aid you in this task.
- Go to the kitchen and fetch an object (such as a whisk, rubber spatula, or pastry brush) to be paddled or flogged with. Bend over, drop your pants or lift your skirt, and let your partner take at least five swats. You might find this dare gives a whole new meaning to the joy of cooking!
As you can see above the suggestions range from goofy to sexy to kinky and back again, and while they are cheesy they are also extremely detailed and thoughtful. Choosing a card or two at random would be a great way to spice up any night of the week, or set aside a night to play multiple rounds, that is if you can get back to the game after performing some of the tasks.
This would be perfect for someone who wants to become more intimate with their partner(s) in a fun and interesting way, or the perfect gift for someone for a number of occasions from anniversary to bachelor(ette) party to birthday or holiday depending on how well you know the person. It’s informative, intelligent, entertaining, and, best of all, designed to actually enhance intimacy between players.
A big thank you to Good Vibrations for providing me with Truth or Dare: A Game of Passion!
