Don’t tell anyone, but I’m kind of a sap and have a serious soft-spot for heart-shaped things. Even three of my eight tattoos are hearts or heart-shaped. So understandably when Liberator first released their Heart Wedge as a limited edition item I fell in love, which is also why I gave one away not too long ago⁰¹. Luckily Liberator has decided to add the Heart Wedge to their Home Decor Series so even though it started as a limited edition item it’s fixed to be around for a while.

The day I received my Heart Wedge I practically squealed from excitement, and cuddled with it nearly all day. It had just been a few days before that Onyx and I were trying to use the Liberator Ramp while I was pegging him with a strap-on and were having difficulty with the height, so it also came at just the perfect time. The Ramp is just a little too high for the length of my thighs and the Heart Wedge is five inches shorter.

Like all Liberator pieces the Heart Wedge is made of a firm but soft champagne foam core covered by a layer of water-resistant nylon and an outer luxurious layer that is easily unzipped and tossed in the wash when it gets dirty. Like Mae West said: sex is only dirty if you do it right, so being able to clean it easily is a must. The foam easily withstands my weighty hips without crushing down too much while also being super comfortable and so much better than using a pillow.

The outer layer on the Heart Wedge is Velvish instead of the usual Liberator microfiber, a feature of the Home Decor series that it is part of. As you can probably guess from the name it is made to feel like velvet and it does quite a good job at it, though it’s more similar to microfiber than to velvet, I believe. It is also what my couches are made out of (the purple backing for the pictures). I enjoy the feel of it, in some ways it feels smoother than the microfiber, but it’s just as sticky when you pair it with other Liberator pieces so it won’t slide around.

The height of the Heart Wedge really comes in handy for those times when you need just a little extra boost, like I mentioned above. It is also much easier to move around than the other Liberator shapes I have tried before due to its smaller size. We were not surprised to find out that the slight boost in height of my hips helped him hit my g-spot and get deeper than without it. While, sure, I can lift my hips up off the bed to achieve the same goal, I can’t do it constantly while also moving and wiggling and focusing on the sensations. It just makes things easier with a prop.

When it came to using it I was a little worried that the small shape wouldn’t quite work with my big body but I happily soon discovered I had no reason to worry. Although I am a little wider than its 19 inches it wasn’t at all uncomfortable or awkward while in use. In fact, I would say it was wicked easy to use, convenient, and comfortable. It might even be my favorite Liberator product yet!

The Red Rose Cat O Nine Tails Whip is pretty. Unbelievably pretty. And it inspires great jokes. And by “great” I mean terrible. I’m sure you already know what I’m talking about, alluding to roses being a gesture of love and all that. These roses are a gesture of pain. Lovely lovely pain.

I already had a rose crop that I reviewed ages ago. Unfortunately it broke mid use and I haven’t yet purchased another. It sparked my love of impact play toys that look like something else. Using roses, hearts, stars, etc. to hit people with is immensely fun. Seriously.

It’s a cat o’ nine tails in that it has… wait for it… nine falls or “tails” or individual braids of leather that you can hit someone with⁰¹. It’s really a type of flogger rather than a whip even though it is referred to as the latter. A whip is generally something with only one flexible striking point rather than multiple. Of course, this varies depending on who you talk to.

This flogger is sturdy and fairly well balanced even with its ridiculously long falls. At the end of each fall is a pretty red leather rose. The only thing I would change is to make the “stems” and leaves of the roses green, keeping the handle black and the roses red, though they also carry a purple version that is equally gorgeous.

The Red Rose Cat O Nine Tails Whip is a little unpredictable without sufficient practice. The sensation varies from ridiculously stingy to thuddy and delicious depending on how it’s thrown. I suggest much practice on a pillow before just jumping in with it because of how different the swings are. Of course, practice will only get you so far so a good communicative bottom is the next place to go. Personally, I really love the thud that the roses themselves produce and am not that fond of the stingyness that occurs when the braided bits of the falls⁰² get involved. YMMV⁰³.

Onyx, who has been the primary but not sole wielder⁰⁴ says basically the same thing: “Using the rose flogger requires a certain amount of technique recalibration. The heaviness of the rose-petal ends means it balances very differently from other floggers I have used and so it felt somewhat “off” in the beginning. I had to re-learn how to swing it properly to use it to its full potential. Despite this learning curve it is very fun to use once the technique is mastered, and has a very delightful thuddy slap when it connects properly.”

I’ve had the Ophoria Rapture No. 5 for a while now and, honestly, I don’t have a lot to say about it. It’s really a case of form follows function, in a good way. It didn’t “wow” me. It doesn’t have any fancy features that have never been seen before, it doesn’t go above and beyond the call of duty, it’s just well-made, does what it’s supposed to do and does it well, and is fairly decently priced for a top-quality silicone toy.

Rapture No. 5 is made of completely body-safe platinum silicone⁰¹, Ophoria’s own blend. It’s fairly silky with minimal finger-drag and pleasing to touch. It’s quite hard for silicone, with little give when you squeeze it. It’s made especially for anal use but can be used vaginally as well, and works well for both. I would say it is better anally, but I love graduated bulbs on anal toys since it goes along so well with the way that the anal muscles work. Makes sense, since it’s basically a dildo version of a set of anal beads.

It’s about average length and a little over average thickness at it’s thickest, but the first bulb starts at half of the thickness of the last. I would say most of the time I use it I don’t put it all the way in, preferring to gently thrust with it over inserting it and leaving it there since it doesn’t have a decent neck on it. It’s definitely made for thrusting.

One thing that does bring it above most other anal toys like it is the handle. Sported by the Beyond No. 3 also made by Ophoria, Njoy Pfun Plug, LELO Bob, and the LELO Insignia line, among others, the cut-out handle is becoming somewhat popular, especially among luxury toy makers. It is a wonderful feature, and I highly recommend this type of handle on a toy to many others, unless you’re specifically looking for a harness-compatible product. This style of handle makes toys easier to grip and maneuver overall, making them great products to own.

The Rapture No. 5 reminds me a lot of the Pleasure No. 6 in that they’re both average toys made of quality silicone and decently priced. They’re solidly made, pleasing to the eye, and does the job they’re made to do. I simply have no bad words to say about them.

Luckily not every toy needs a “wow” factor. In fact many of the fancy new tech savvy toys that are out there are expensive and don’t do all that they should, making the solidly good toys that much better than those that fluctuate between awesome features and little performance. Plus, Ophoria toys are pretty, if not wowomgawesome.

“Based on a true fantasy” Sugar High Glitter City is a futuristic land where sugar is outlawed. The film follows “sugar hos” as they go out and fuck for a fix while running into corrupt cops (who they happily fuck) and the Reverend Honey Dew, a reformed sugar ho who is trying to save the souls of the other sugar addicted girls. It’s wonderful campy sexy fun.

The first four scenes are rather short and including the interludes and narrated backstory into Glitter City they take up under a half hour of the film’s hour and thirteen minute running time. I love that a wide range of ethnicities, sizes, and gender presentations are represented through each of the scenes and that a gay boi/boi scene is included (my favorite scene of the film). Plus the music is great, I recognized only a few of the songs (Best Cock on the Block!) but they fit the theme of the movie and didn’t distract from it at all. The quality of the DVD isn’t great, but the scenes are exciting enough to make up for it.

Blue (Jackie Strano) and Stark (Stark) are cops known for “shaking down” the sugar hos and make Bitta Honey (Brooklyn Bloomberg) suck them off and fuck them so they don’t take her in. Jackie makes her beg for a blow pop he had in his pocket and has a gorgeous marbeled blue and white Vixen Creations cock (Leo?). The only thing that worried me a little was Jackie putting the blow pop against her clit, but the massive amount of ejaculate (“sugar water”) probably got rid of any trace of sugar.

Rev. Honey Dew (Shar Rednour) has renounced sugar but we get to see a glimpse of when she was just Honey Dew and she had a fondness for Cherry Glaze (Josephine X). They have wonderful chemistry throughout the short scene. They share a blow pop and Honey Dew is the Queen of Dirty Talk while she fucks Cherry. Both of them are covered in glitter, like most of the sugar hos throughout the film, which is only mildly distracting while watching Josephine come.

Gooden Plenty (Rocko Capital) picks up the sugar rent boy Blow Pop (Chester Drawers). Blow Pop happily sucks on Gooden’s liquorish sticks and ring pop, literally, before getting fucked. The shot gets weirdly distorted as they fuck, maybe representing the sugar high they’re both on? The scene is actually pretty short, which is regrettable because it’s ridiculously hot and I really want to see more of both of them.

Crem de la Marmalade (Simone de la Getto) is the Queen Sugar Mama of Glitter City and Salt Taffy (Hella Getto) is her favorite sugar ho. Simone’s glittery dreads are mesmerizing and their sweet nothings to each other (in addition to the same last name) makes me think they’re an item. Their connection is undeniable and their short scene fades away into a disco ball after Salt Taffy comes. Luckily we get to see more of them later.

Rock Candy (Charlie Skye) and Miss Goldie Icing (Aimee Pearl) give us a Daddy/girl scene with Rock sporting a gorgeous purple and pink marbled Leo. Unlike the previous scenes they take their time getting to the fucking. Goldie begs for Rock’s cock, they undress each other, and Rock licks sugar (his payment for his services) off of her breast and mons in lines like it’s coke. Again, the proximity of sugar to vagina took me out of the scene a bit, but it was definitely hot. Rock makes Goldie beg even more to be fucked and she continues as he’s fucking her, changing from asking to commanding as she gets close to orgasm.

Blue seduces Honey Dew from her sugar-free ways with the temptation of sugar and lots of wonderful kisses while Cherry watches. Naturally this leads to a long threesome, the longest scene of the film. Not surprisingly there is lots of dirty talk and it very much feels like Blue and Honey Dew are sharing Cherry, which makes sense since Jackie and Shar are partners. There are random close-up shots of Blue’s cock fucking Cherry which seem a little disjointed and awkward, but only take a little away from the overall scene.

The finale of the film is Salt Taffy returning the favor to Crem de la Marmalade. Again their chemistry is explosive, probably at least part of why they’re on the cover of the box. I probably don’t have to say it, but it’s amazingly hot.

I really enjoy Sugar High Glitter City, so much so that my biggest complaint with the movie is that many of the scenes are too short. I want more of it! However, due to being short every moment is full of sexy sugary goodness that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Yes, I had to go there.
